I used construction paper to make a large tree in the lobby of our building. I then purchased felt leaves of various sizes and glue dots. I placed them out on a table with markers and instructions to write what you are Thankful for on the leave and place it on the Tree of Thanksgiving. It was a HUGE hit.

A really simple, and yet fun program I found is to drive all of your residents (or get people to drive) to a local Walmart, Target, etc. with the intent of buying Toys to give to local charity (homeless shelter, Orphanage, Toys for Tots, etc.) It is fun, gets people out, doesn't take long, is not expensive, and helps the community. I highly recommend it!
